Hitline Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-11-01

1. Operator and scope

PingSolve LLC, based in Idaho, United States, operates Hitline (also listed as Hitline: TouchBattle) and is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact support@pingsolveai.com for privacy requests. This notice describes the current Hitline app, including records retained from older TouchBattle versions. It explains processing; it is not a request to consent to every use of data.

2. Accounts and local information

Firebase Authentication assigns an identifier to guest players and manages email/password accounts. Guest play is not anonymous to our systems. Registered accounts include email, display name and authentication information. Firebase handles password authentication; passwords are not stored in the game's player-profile database.
Player profiles contain a user identifier, display name, premium status, gameplay statistics, activity timestamps and block preferences. Hitline shows other players only the public gameplay records described below. Older TouchBattle versions read player profiles to build their online rankings, so signed-in players could access profile records through those versions until those rankings are retired after this update becomes available. After that, private profile records are restricted to the account and authorized administration.
Draft levels, Climb progress, preferences and recent codes are stored on your device. Drafts and progress are separated by player identity on that device. Creating an account from a connected guest session preserves that identity. These local files are not automatically backed up by signing in and may be lost if the app is removed or device storage is cleared.
Hitline does not ask for your age or birthday and does not require you to accept anything before playing.

3. Public gameplay and community information

Publishing uploads the level name, song credit if supplied, note pattern, creator identifier and display name, creation time, verification replay and accuracy, remix reference, visibility choice and play statistics. Scores and race replays include a player identifier, display name, score, accuracy, hit sequence and timestamp. These records are available to other players. Liking a level stores your account identifier and a timestamp against that level so you can like it once and undo it; other players see only the like count. Legacy ranked word runs may also contain the word used to create the level.
Unlisted levels are excluded from the public feed but anyone with the code can retrieve, share and remix them. Do not put private information in public names or credits. The editor stores note patterns, not recordings of microphone audio or copies of your music.
Reports contain the level or user reported, reporter identifier, reason and timestamp. Block preferences help hide unwanted creators. These moderation records are available to authorized operators; they are not public leaderboard fields.

4. Ads and diagnostics

Hitline has no first-party gameplay analytics. We do not record event streams about how you play beyond the public gameplay records described above.
Free players may see Google AdMob ads. Where the law requires it, Google's consent form asks for your choices first. On iOS, Apple's tracking prompt then asks whether Hitline may use your device's advertising identifier; you can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Hitline requests non-personalized, general-audience ads either way. Google may process IP addresses, device information, identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. If ads cannot be requested, the game continues without them. Pro removes ads.
Apple may provide crash reports and usage information according to your device analytics settings. Hosting and service providers also process technical information such as IP addresses and service logs needed to deliver and secure their services.

5. Purposes and legal grounds

We use account and gameplay information to provide the requested game, preserve account access, publish levels, display scores and deliver purchased features. Where applicable, the legal basis is performing our agreement with you. Advertising uses Google's restricted, non-personalized treatment described above; Google explains its processing in its own privacy information. Security, abuse prevention and proportionate moderation may rely on our legitimate interests in a safe, reliable service, subject to your rights. Legal records may be processed to comply with legal obligations. A parent or guardian's permission to use the service does not replace a legally required verified parental-consent procedure.

6. Recipients and purchases

Google Firebase provides authentication and database/backend hosting. Google AdMob provides advertising for eligible players. Apple processes App Store transactions and provides purchase or restoration information needed to unlock Pro. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Support correspondence is processed through our email service. Authorized PingSolve operators may access information for support, security and moderation.
We may disclose information when legally required, to protect people or enforce rights, or in a business transfer subject to applicable notice and protections. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising-related definitions of sale or sharing vary by region; contact us about applicable rights rather than assuming non-personalized ads collect no information.
Provider information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy; policies.google.com/privacy; www.apple.com/legal/privacy.

7. Retention and account deletion

We retain account and published gameplay records while needed to provide your account and shared game features. Local drafts and progress remain until removed on that device. Reports, support correspondence and security records are retained while needed to investigate and resolve the issue and for applicable legal obligations or claims; we review whether continued retention is necessary. Provider logs and backups follow the configured provider retention and recovery arrangements.
Use Delete Account in Profile, or Delete Guest Data for a guest, to request deletion. Registered users re-enter their password. The service removes the account profile, published original levels, leaderboard runs, level likes and associated legacy TouchBattle multiplayer records. It also clears the active account's drafts and progress on the requesting device. Other devices may retain local files until they reconnect or you remove those files. Separate remixes and copies held by other people are not automatically deleted with the original; contact support about them.
Server cleanup retries after interruptions. There is no guaranteed 24-hour completion time. A private receipt with the account identifier, status and timestamps temporarily prevents old sessions from restoring data. Completed receipts are scheduled for removal after at least 24 hours; timing depends on successful cleanup runs. Information required for a legal obligation or dispute may be retained separately with restricted access. Apple's ownership record and independently retained provider records are not erased by deleting a Hitline account. Contact support if deletion is pending or you need help.

8. Eligibility and younger players

Hitline retains TouchBattle's minimum-age approach: it is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 where local law requires a higher minimum. Players below the age of legal adulthood need parent or guardian agreement. We do not offer a verified parental-consent route for players below the applicable minimum. Contact support if an ineligible child's information has been submitted so we can investigate and remove it as required. Because we do not ask your age, every player already receives the restricted advertising treatment described above.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to your privacy regulator. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify account ownership without collecting unnecessary extra information. Contact support@pingsolveai.com; include enough information to locate your account, but never send your password. You can also change your display name and use account deletion in Profile. We respond in accordance with applicable legal deadlines and do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

10. International processing and security

PingSolve operates in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, whose laws may differ from yours. Transfers must use a lawful mechanism where required; contact us for information about arrangements applicable to your data. We do not claim that selecting worldwide App Store availability alone establishes compliance in every country.
We use access controls and provider security features to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

11. Changes and contact

The version above identifies this notice. Material changes will be communicated in the app as appropriate. New optional processing requiring consent will not be authorized merely by updating this notice.
